Prosper the Land – Prosper All

In the year 1865 the first show was held in the Jamieson Hotel Yard, and was called “The Grain Show’.   Later on it became known as the “Agricultural Show’, and for some considerable time was held in the old show grounds at the corner of Malmsbury Road and Knox Street, and later at the grounds known as Middleton Park.  The show grounds are now established at Victoria Park, and its annual show is one of the State’s best exhibitions.
