VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers are need for the following days:
- Thursday 25 November – setup
- Friday 25 November – stewards, setup, help with feeding judges, stewards and volunteers
- Saturday 26 November – stewards, activities, parking, gate & packup
- Sunday & Monday 27 & 28 November – packup
If you could help please email info@daylesfordshow.com and indicate which days you are available. Volunteers for Saturday will need a Working With Children’s Check.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWCC)
DDAS Committee Members and Volunteers with close contact with Children on Show Day and any DDAS event need a WWCC. These are FREE for volunteers and can be applied for using your smart phone or online with a follow-up visit at the Post Office to complete. You will need a few different forms of ID to complete the application. Volunteer WWCC are good for 5 years.
The whole process is FREE for volunteers including a photo.

Daylesford Neighbourhood Centre are supporting us by offering to run a session on applying for a WWCC – at a date to be confirmed.
Also Daylesford Library staff are available to help WWCC applications. Ring ahead to check on how busy they are or just take a chance.
Remember you will need to bring along the necessary ID (see links above).
Yes it is a bit of a commitment to do it but it’s important so we can do our best to protect children attending the Daylesford Show. Also you can use it for other organisations that require a WWCC.
When applying the organisation is Daylesford and District Agricultural Society Inc and the occupation field is “42 – Clubs, associations or movements of a cultural, recreational or sporting nature” and you are a Volunteer
