Volunteers
Volunteers are need for the following days:
- Thursday 20 November – show bump in
- Friday 21 November – stewarding, setup, help with lunch for judges, stewards and volunteers
- Saturday 22 November – stewarding, activities, parking, gate & pack up
- Sunday & Monday 23 & 24 November – show bump out
If you could help please email info@daylesfordshow.com and indicate which days you are available. Volunteers for Saturday will need a Working With Children’s Check.
VOLUNTEER INDUCTION for SAFETY and INSURANCE
SAFETY in preparing for the show, SAFETY on Show Day and SAFETY clearing up after the show are key to a successful Daylesford Show.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWCC)
DDAS Committee Members and Volunteers with close contact with Children on Show Day and any DDAS event need a WWCC. We prefer a WWCC for all volunteers. These are FREE for volunteers and can be applied for using your smart phone or online with a follow-up visit at the Post Office to complete. You will need a few different forms of ID to complete the application. Volunteer WWCC are good for 5 years.
The whole process is FREE for volunteers including a photo.
When applying the organisation is Daylesford and District Agricultural Society Inc and the occupation field is 42 – Clubs, associations or movements of a cultural, recreational or sporting nature and you are a Volunteer

Need Help with your WWCC (Working With Children Check)? Daylesford Library staff are available to help WWCC applications. Ring ahead to check on how busy they are or just take a chance.
Remember you will need to have the necessary ID to complete the checking process.
Yes it does take time and effort to apply for a WWCC but it’s important so we can do our best to protect children attending the Daylesford Show and gives us flexibility where to roster you. Also you can use it for other organisations that require a WWCC.
